šŸ“– Why Reading and Writing Should Be Learned Together

In language learning, reading and writing are never separate; they are closely connected and enhance each other. Reading is input, and writing is output. Only by combining the two can students truly acquire solid language skills.

1. Reading provides materials and inspiration for writing

Reading is the "nourishment" of language learning. Through reading, children encounter rich vocabulary, expressions, and sentence structures. With sufficient reading experience, they will not feel that they have "nothing to write," but will naturally draw on their knowledge and expressions when writing.

2. Writing is the extension and practice of reading

If reading is "absorption," then writing is "application." In the process of writing, children transform the vocabulary and structures they learned through reading into their own language. This allows them not only to understand but to truly master what they have learned.

3. Reading nurtures comprehension, writing enhances expression

Reading cultivates comprehension and depth of thought, while writing strengthens logical organization and expressive ability. Understanding and expression are two sides of the same coin, and learning them together builds a stronger foundation of language skills.

4. Synergy boosts learning motivation

Reading alone can become passive, and writing alone may feel tedious. But when combined, activities such as "reading a story and writing a continuation" or "reading an article and writing a reflection" become possible, sparking children’s initiative and creativity.

🌱 Our Philosophy

At Senju LLC’s Chinese language courses, we emphasize the parallel learning of reading + writing. Reading builds knowledge, and writing transforms it into expression. Through this two-way learning process, children discover the power of language and develop not only true linguistic ability but also rich thinking skills.
